St. PETERSBURG, Florida (AP)-a landmark of the Tampa Bay area hotels claim BP has failed to pay for oil spill claims more than $ 5 million.
The Don Cesar Resort, St. Pete Beach Hotels in filed a lawsuit against BP Exploration and production of Sunday in Houston, where oil companies are based.
The suit claims reneged on an agreement to pay the BP top $ 5.2 million to business are missing after oil spill Gulf of Mexico in April 2010. There is no oil which reaches the Western-Central Coast of Florida, but businesses are suffering because of uncertainty over the spill and the perception of that fouled beaches.
The suit says the hotel received a written offer of compensation BP’s last fall, but the company has so far failed to pay.
